Foreboding
Richard Begbie
$1,500.00
Dimensions: 30 x 24 x 2
Media: Archival Print on Fine Art Paper
Artist Statement : In my photographs, the viewer first sees the realistic subject. Through further examination, the abstract elements of the image force the viewer to experience the duality of the subject matter. I attempt to use his camera to provide a view of the subject on a second aesthetic level as a realistic expression and as an abstract expression. By using both natural and manipulated use of texture and color, I want to convey a multi-layered image to the viewer.

Media: oil on panel
Artist Statement : This scene, painted live in Palette 22 Restaurant in Washington, DC, started out as a study of the group in the upper left corner, when the restaurant was empty, but changed as the place filled up, from a quiet family brunch to a bustling downtown weekend.

Hello Kitty
Ken Brotherton
$300.00
Dimensions: 13 x 19 x 1
Media: digital Photography
Artist Statement : A vibrant city is a wonderful place. People seek cities for opportunity, diversity, entertainment, and socialization. I love being in and photographing in cities for these same reasons. I enjoy the challenge of trying to meaningfully capture the pulse of human activity whether it be our work, leisure, family, happiness, or solitude. All of these things and more are on display and can be appreciated if we slow down a bit to become aware of them, appreciate them, and see value in sharing these moments of our common humanity with others.

Bridge Closed
Sally Canzoneri
$150.00

Before The Show
John Diephouse
$450.00
Honorable Mention
Dimensions: 16 x 20 x 1
Media: Photograph
Artist Statement : I am a self-taught photographer and collage artist and am attracted to a variety of subject matters. My interests range from natural landscapes, botanicals and wildlife to images that provide either abstract expression or social commentary. I share images that evoke a story of some kind that may be simply documentary, reflect a sense of time and place, or resonate on a more abstract level of color, shape or form. Others provoke an indefinable question that does not readily yield answers without further study and reflection. Most often I am drawn back to images created while wandering through the back roads of the upper Midwest. These images of architecture, commerce and social life often reflect a mixture of nostalgia and a changing set of forces that shape life in the heartlands. I have exhibited widely and have earned recognition in local, regional, and national exhibitions. My photographs are also included in several corporate and private collections.

Boo-geyman
Kathy Bennett Dove
$225.00
Dimensions: 14 x 11
Media: archival digital photography
Artist Statement : New Orleans French Quarter night life is vibrant and colorful. This unique and memorable character bristled with friendly boos and hellos as people walked by. They would pay to have pictures taken with him. He occasionally peered into the restaurant and caused a stir with creepy, elongated "Boo" sounds.

Katherine Farrell
$350.00
Dimensions: 11 x 14 x 1
